C'mon, you're supposed to evolve already. Just...use Ember or something and finish it off...STOP RUNNING.

She's still afraid to fight other Pokémon...if they fight back, it's even worse. How do I make her get over it?

Not all animals are keen on fighting. I would assume that to be the case for Pokémon, as well. It may just be against her nature.

[Scar still doesn't really get this whole concept of training creatures to fight as a simple, pointless pastime.]

Tch, well I can tell you that yelling at her like that isn't helping your chances. If she's really that timid, all that's gonna do is scare her more.

[Given that Kuzuryuu is very quick to start yelling at anything and anybody, this is actually kind of hilarious advice to hear him give. But nearly a month's worth of traveling alone with his timid, weak-willed, cry-baby of a classmate taught him a few things. Namely that yelling is counter-productive when it comes to that personality type.]

I only started yelling when I started filming.

Besides, it has the same effect as not yelling at her, too.

Not soldier material, I suppose. First time she went outside, she hid inside my jacket for three hours before even poking her head out.

I don't pretend to understand my Pokémon. I think they prefer it like that.

If you don't understand your Pokémon, you're going to have a hard time progressing on your journey.

Learn to understand them; their moods, what they like and dislike. And hey, maybe yours will understand you better, too.

Maybe. I'd like her to evolve at least once before I put her in reserves. That way she'll a bit stronger if she has to fight.

If you're trying that and it's not working, maybe you should just get rid of it and find one that IS willing to fight.

Or get one of your other ones to really corner it so it can't run.
