[This network post starts with just audio, and mostly some shuffling sounds and a dull thunk, as well as Rep's voice.]

Hey, be careful with that, don't lose it.

[The video comes on a few seconds later, showing Rep peering down at the screen, his hair hanging around his face. One of his hands is clutched into a fist.]

Got it now. Check it out, I got some more badges!

[He opens the fist, showing off a Hive badge and a Plain badge to the camera, looking and sounding immensely proud of himself.]

Got kicked out of Whitney's gym...for the second time. Her bodyguards probably know my face by now, so I probably won't be able to go back. Or maybe they'll let me back in if I leave Aura behind...

Do all the girl gym leaders cry when you beat them? 'Cause I'm going to avoid their gyms if that's going to happen every time.

[He starts to switch off the recording, but then stops.]

Not related to crybaby gym leaders, but I'm looking for a Volcarona and...whatever Torchic evolves into for...breeding purposes. I'll...pay you, I suppose, if anyone can lend one of those two to me for awhile.

[And then he does shut it off.]

['Scuse him while he stares at you for a few seconds.]

[ "Not Riku"? Then that could mean... ]

Er... I'm Xion. If you're not Riku, then... are you the Data version of him?

From:

Not the data version either. But he's here too, somewhere...

[Or maybe not. They don't interact very often.]

Evan. [ Sinking feeling here... She rubs the side of her head, feeling her head hurt just from trying to figure hits out herself. ]

... Right. Evan. It's nice to meet you, and congratulations on getting the badge.

[ Yet her tone is awkwardly robotic as she says this, her mind still somewhere else. ]

[He doesn't mean to be rude, it's more of an automatic response.]

Er, yeah. I'm okay. I just... didn't expect Riku had more people that looked like him.

From:

I hope there isn't more. Two of us is more than enough.

From:

I know about the data book, but how did you... er, come to be? If that's okay to ask.

From:

[He's quiet for a few moments while he thinks about that question, sorry Xion. It's not a question he's actually been asked before, and so it's caught him off-guard. No one's ever told him the answer, either.]

...I don't know. I just woke up in the castle one day.

From:

A castle. [ I see. ] Same as me, then.

From:

Was it all white and full of creeps in black coats?

[His opinion of the Castle Oblivion crew, let him show you it.]

From:

Er, yes. Though, it was mostly empty whenever I visited.

[ Also, she's wearing said coat. Um. Huh. ]

From:

[Open mouth, insert foot. But he doesn't hate her, really!]

Maybe you visited after Sora got rid of 'em all.

[Riku's contribution didn't count (much), nope.]

I didn't see any other girls besides Naminé and Larxene while I was there.

That woman is an insult to ladies everywhere. I still haven't gotten that badge just because I don't want to deal with her.

[Ilya seems downright offended by how Whitney acts.]

I have a Volcarona, if no one else does. I'm at the breeding center so it would be the perfect place for it... but mine is male, so if you're looking to get Larvesta eggs that might be kind of hard. And you'd still need the Torchic.

[Shrug. He doesn't have much advice on that subject.]

A male Volcarona won't work. The only thing I have available to breed with it is also male, so I need a female. Unless you have something else I can borrow as well.

I suppose, but since I'm working at the Center anyway I'm in no real hurry. I'm trying to think of a way to deal with her more easily once I've won.

Well, then I can't really help you much. I don't think any of my others can breed with Prometheus. Maybe I could talk to Saber and see if we can figure something out.

[A pause and a sudden frown.]

Who are you, by the way? I don't think we've talked...much?

Of course! Though she might just say that you should buy an egg from the Center... she's the one in charge of it, after all.

Evan. I've bought some eggs from the breeding center before...I think I might've talked to her one of those times.

You guys don't usually have the eggs I want, though.

I guess that is a problem. What we have is usually just what people are willing to donate, so it's anyone's guess as to what we'll get from time to time. And I think Larvestas and Volcaronas are pretty rare...

That's why I'm looking for people who do have them, so I can get my own without having to look all over the place.

You know, there should be a list of that sort of thing. And the Center's really the best place to keep it, too. Maybe we could start asking the donators to volunteer their information to us.

[And this idea has nothing to do with her wanting to make it easier to find Pokemon for herself, nope.]

Umm...I haven't met any other gym leaders besides Falkner, though...and Bugsy is a little androgynous but I think he's a boy. So I can't actually give you examples.

[Well that's awkward.]

Well, that's why I was asking. I'm not interested in dealing with the other ones if they're all going to react the same way after I beat them. And Bugsy's a guy...he's pretty easy to beat, heh.

[If you have a whole team of Fire and Flying types. Type advantages all around!]

Falkner's kinda weird with his bird obsession.

His bird obsession isn't very practical, either. I only had to use one Pokemon to take out his team.

But I guess if gyms didn't have a theme nobody would be able to train to beat them? I don't know, the idea that they got so strong with training only one type of Pokemon, enough to be certified as a gym leader even, sounds so weird to me.

It's a little weird to me, too. But I don't mind the theme teams, if it makes it easier to defeat them in the end. I'll take any advantage I can get.

I'm sure even if they didn't have themes, it'd be no trouble to beat them with some hard work.

But it's a lot easier to beat them as it is, and I'd prefer for it to stay that way.

That's not a bad thing. I just prefer to take the easiest route when it comes to doing stuff like that.

Clair doesn't cry, but she does pitch a fit, so you'll have to deal with her sticking her nose in the air and making stupid demands that involve going into the dragons den. At least the area is full of different dragons, so it's a good capture zone while picking up the badge.

Vanitas. Did you ever choose a name that wasn't Riku?

Sooo...do you have to deal with the dragons before you can get the badge, or is it just something she tries to get you to do to make herself feel better about losing?

Evan, huh. [The name sounds vaguely familiar, someone he blew off when trying to ignore Braig and Xehanort talking? Whatever, not anyone important in his book.] Not terrible. It's at least not someone elses name.

So, two badges down, what's the next one you're going for?

Probably the gym in Cianwood or the one in Ecruteak, since they're the closest right now. I mean, I can Fly further, but I don't really like to.

From:

Neither of the leaders will make you jump through any hoops when they lose, so there's something to look forward too. Ecruteak's leader uses ghost types, and Cianwoods uses fighting. [If that's of any help.]

From:

I don't think I've gone up against very many fighting types. Ghosts, yeah, but not fighting. Got any tips?
