Second Step --> Video (Backdated to the morning of the 25th)

[Some people look good when they wake up. This Replica is not one of them, shown in this video with half of his hair sticking up at odd angles, but he either doesn't notice or doesn't care either way.]

I don't really get this 'Christmas' thing, but I'm assuming it's the reason my eggs have multiplied themselves.

[He turns the camera away from his face to show three Pokémon eggs sitting on top of his backpack.]

I know why one of them is there, but the other two just appeared this morni--Hey, careful with those, Nami!

[A Hoothoot has just hopped onto the backpack, jostling the eggs, and he drops the Gear on the bed to make sure she doesn't harm them.]

Either this is another Riku from another universe, like the Aeriths he's met, or it's like him and Roxas and this guy might be offended if he gets called Riku.

So he's left just squinting thoughtfully at this guy and not realizing how long he's been doing it]

[No and yes. He's not Riku and will likely get crabby if called that name.

He's not sure what the staring is about, but he'll stare back for a second before talking, and also waving a hand to see if Ven is actually paying attention.]

[Tact? What is tact? If it helps, he sounds curious rather than demanding.]

['Scuse him while he squints at you a bit.]

You look sort of like Sora. Are you his brother or something?

[Ven shakes his head]

Nope. It's funny that you say that though - Roxas and I look even more alike.

Never met a Roxas before.

Oh, well... He's not here anymore, but we look practically the same. It kind of still bugs him when people mistake him for me though.

I get that with Riku. Everyone I've met so far has mistaken me for him, and it's irritating.

[At least he has the advantage of looking younger and thus not identical to the current Riku.]

I have to admit, I wondered if you were another Riku. I've met two people who were the same person and not before, but...

Well, I always think about how Roxas felt when I came here.

I was supposed to be a another Riku...but things didn't work out right. I hated the idea anyway, so I'm not complaining.

I think everybody's an individual, even if they're really alike.

[You're one of the best people he's met so far, just for saying that.]

[He'd have to credit all the wonderful people he's met. Fortunately, he's not being asked]

So have you been here very long? I'm guessing not, if people are still making mistakes... After a while people knew how to tell if it was me or Roxas and at first we really confused everybody.

I've been here a week.

[But not really on the network that often.]

I'll give everyone a couple more weeks to figure out that I'm not him.

If they take a bit longer than that, don't take it personally. I mean, I think people'll know the difference between you [Partly because Riku looks noticeably older], but from experience it doesn't mean much if some people are slow on the uptake.

With me and Roxas it sometimes took months, but... Anybody who paid attention to how we talked or acted figured it out.

[Yeah, he's noticed the 'noticeably older' part. Confused him pretty badly when he first saw Riku.]

Well...it's not like I'm going to attack anyone or anything for mistaking us. I'm not stupid. It's just that it's harder to be someone who isn't Riku when everyone else thinks I am.

[Have a rant, Ven. Because you're the first person to apparently understand his frustration.]

[If it helps, he has no problem with it at all. While he wasn't personally bothered by being mixed up with Roxas, he remembers how much it bothered Roxas for the longest time and knows how not saying a thing about it didn't help the guy at all]

I wouldn't assume you'd do anything like that. But I know how it is; first dozen people to greet me over the network thought I had to be Roxas for sure.

I'm sure everyobdy'll come to see you for you. There're brothers who look the same, and people from different worlds who look the same, and they get acknowledged.
